Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the package tray.







2. Remove the child safety seat tether anchor.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ See the removal procedure or Specifications for torque specifications.

WARNING: IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BOLT/ANCHOR BE SECURELY TIGHTENED TO SPECIFICATION. OTHERWISE, THE CHILD'S SAFETY SEAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED AND THE CHILD CAN BE INJURED IN CASE OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.

NOTE:
^ Rework the sheet metal to its original condition and structural integrity.
^ Install a new child safety seat tether anchor as necessary.
^ Make sure to tighten the bolts to specification.

2. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
