Inspection and Repair After A Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Deployment
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMWARNING: When the air bags have been deployed during a collision, the ECS will store a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1231 in its memory. Install a new ECS if the air bags have been deployed.
WARNING: Air bag modules with discolored or damaged covers or deployment doors must not be repainted, install a new component.
WARNING: Make sure there are no signs of damage in the floor pan area adjacent to the crash sensor. Incorrect mounting of this component may impair it function. Failure to follow this instruction may cause premature air bag deployment and may cause personal injury.
