Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Remove the steering column lower shroud.

NOTE: Ordering the correct ignition switch lock cylinder to match existing vehicle keys can be achieved through Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealerships.







2. Remove the passive anti-theft system transceiver.
1. Disconnect the transceiver electrical connector.
2. Remove the screw.
3. Remove the transceiver.







3. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
1. Insert and turn the key to accessory (position I).
2. Depress the retainer.
3. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
