Hood Latch: Description and Operation

HOOD MECHANISM

The hood opens from the front and is secured by means of a double catch in the hood latch. The hood latch release handle is located on the left hand A-pillar under the dash panel.

The hood latch is secured to the hood latch panel. The safely catch of the hood latch must be released by hand after operation of the hood latch release handle.

The hood catch engages around the striker which is secured to the underside of the hood at the front.
