Removal

1. CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital components and systems and their failure can result in major service expense. A new part with the same part number must be installed if installation is necessary. Do not use a new part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.

Note: Make sure the steering wheel is in the unlocked position.

Remove the front brake disc.

2. Using the special tool, remove the wheel stud.

Installation
1. Position the wheel stud in the flange making sure the serrations on the stud line up with the serrations in the flange. Install four washers and a reversed wheel nut.

2. CAUTION: Do not use power tools to install the wheel stud. Damage to the flange can occur.

Tighten the nut until the stud is seated against the flange.
3. Remove the nut and washers. Discard the nut.
