Steps 1 - 45

1. Install the flywheel.

2. Position the engine on the subframe and transmission assembly.

3. Install the transmission to engine bolts.
- Install five bolts.
- Install one stud bolt.

4. Install the RH engine support insulator through bolt.

5. Install the LH engine support insulator-to-subframe nut.

6. Install the two RH engine support insulator-to-transmission bolts.

7. Disconnect the engine lift equipment and position it aside.

8. Remove the RH engine lifting eye.

9. Remove the LH engine lifting eye.

10. Install the secondary air injection hose.

11. Install the RH catalytic converter heat shield.
1. Install the two nuts.
2. Position the ground strap and install the bolt.

12. Position the 42-pin connector on the bracket and connect the transaxle harness electrical connector.

13. Connect the Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor electrical connector.

14. Connect the Output Speed Sensor (OSS) electrical connector.

15. Connect the power steering pressure switch electrical connector.

16. Install the ignition coil and coil bracket assembly.
- Install the stud bolts.

17. Position the wire harness.

18. Connect the ignition coil.
- Connect the spark plug wires.
- Connect the ignition coil electrical connector.

19. Install the secondary air injection valve and bracket.
- Install the nuts.

20. Connect the secondary air injection valve vacuum tube.

21. Connect the control valve solenoid to the bracket.

22. Install the LH secondary air injection tube.
1. Tighten the compression nuts.

23. Connect the power steering pressure line to the power steering pump.

24. Install the power steering pressure line bracket.
- Install the nut.

25. Install the power steering pressure line bracket.
- Install the nut.

26. Using the special tool, raise the engine, transmission and subframe in to the vehicle.

27. Install the four front subframe-to-body bolts.

28. Lower the special tool and position it aside.

29. Install the LH and RH half shafts to the steering knuckles.

30. Connect the LH and RH tie rod ends to the steering knuckles.

31. Connect the LH and RH lower control arms to the steering knuckles.

32. Connect the LH and RH stabilizer links to the stabilizer bar.

33. Install the four torque converter nuts.

34. Install the engine rear plate.

35. Install the starter motor.

36. Connect the starter motor electrical connectors.
- Install the nuts.

37. Install the starter motor electrical connector cover.

38. Connect the auxiliary oil cooler assembly.
- Connect the transmission oil cooler hose.
- Connect the power steering return hose.

39. Connect the wire harness electrical connector.

40. Connect the transmission oil cooler hose.

41. Connect the lower radiator hose to the radiator.

42. Connect the lower radiator hose to the water pump.

43. Connect the A/C discharge tube.
- Install the nut.
44. Install the front wheels.
45. Install the catalytic converters and Y-pipe assemblies.
