Front Door Hinge: Adjustments
HINGE ADJUSTMENT - FRONTNOTE:
- The door should be adjusted for even and parallel fit with the body opening and surrounding panels.
- Check the rear door hinge adjustment before adjusting the front door hinge.
1. Remove the rear portion of the front splash shield.
- Remove the screws and the pin-type retainers.
2. Remove the fender stuffer.
3. Mark the position of the front door hinges to use as a reference point.
4. CAUTION: The stud in the top hinge to body mount is the pivot point for the door and is preset at the factory.
Loosen the front door hinge to body nut and bolts just enough to permit movement of the door.
5. Adjust the front door alignment to specifications.
6. Tighten the front door hinge to body bolts and nut.
7. Install the fender stuffer.
8. Install the rear portion of the splash shield.
