A4XN - Transaxle Support Insulator
RemovalNote: If the transaxle mount is not integral to the side pan, refer to the procedure for the 3.0L (2V) pushrod engine.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the LH wheel and tire.
4. Place the High Lift Transmission Jack under the transaxle.
5. CAUTION: Do not excessively raise the transaxle. Over-extension of the tripod CV joint could result in separation of internal parts, causing failure of the halfshafts.
Note: The transaxle will need to be raised to remove the transaxle support insulator.
Remove the engine and transaxle support insulator.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Remove the nut.
3 Raise the transaxle.
4 Remove the engine and transaxle support insulator.
Installation
1. Install the engine and transaxle support insulator.
1 Install the engine and transaxle support insulator.
2 Lower the transaxle.
3 Install the nut.
4 Install the bolts.
2. Remove the High Lift Transmission Jack.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Install the LH wheel and tire.
5. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
