Seats Not Removed

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS MUST BE REMOVED AND THE AIR BAG MODULES RECONNECTED WHEN THE SYSTEM IS REACTIVATED TO AVOID NON-DEPLOYMENT IN A COLLISION, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

2. Wait at least one minute for the backup power supply in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) to deplete its stored energy.

3. Remove the driver air bag restraint system diagnostic tool from the air bag sliding contact connector.
^ Reconnect the electrical connector.

WARNING: THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY. REMOVE FROM VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.

4. Remove the passenger air bag restraint system diagnostic tool from the vehicle harness.

WARNING: THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY. REMOVE FROM VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.

5. Reinstall the passenger air bag module.
6. If necessary, remove the side air bag restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the front passenger seat.

7. Reconnect the passenger side air bag electrical connector.
8. Remove the safety belt pretensioner restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the front passenger seat.

9. Reconnect the ten-pin connector beneath the front passenger seat.
10. If necessary, remove the side air bag restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the driver seat.

11. Reconnect the side air bag floor connector beneath the driver seat.
12. Remove the pretensioner restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the driver seat.

13. Reconnect the ten-pin connector beneath the driver seat.
14. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
15. Prove out the system.
