Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the camshaft followers.





2. Note: Mark the position of the hydraulic lash adjuster to make sure they are assembled in their original position.

Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
3. Note: Inspect the hydraulic lash adjusters and install new lash adjusters as necessary.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate the hydraulic lash adjusters with Super Premium SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent, meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.
