Rear Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the door trim panel.







2. Remove the door pull.
^ Remove the screws.







3. Detach the door speaker.
^ Remove the screws.







4. Remove the door speaker.
^ Disconnect the multiplug.







5. Detach the watershield.
^ Using a plastic knife (disposable cutlery), cut through the Butyl strip to enable the watershield to be peeled back.

CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will be impaired.







6. Connect the power window operating switch electrical connector.







7. Remove the window retaining bolts.

NOTE: Align the window retaining bolts with the access holes.

8. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







9. Raise and support the glass in the fully closed position.







10. Detach the window regulator.
1 Remove the regulator assembly bolts and allow the assembly to rest in the bottom of the door.
2 Remove the regulator motor (three bolts), or manual regulator winder (two bolts), and allow the assembly to rest in the bottom of the door.







11. Disconnect the regulator motor electrical connector.







12. Remove the window regulator.







13. Remove the motor mounting plate nut.







14. Remove the motor mounting bushes.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
