Removal - All Vehicles1. Loosen the wheel nuts.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel.
Vehicles With Rear Drum Brakes
4. Remove the brake drum.
1. Remove the retainers (if equipped).
2. Remove the drum.
5. Remove the hub dust cap.
6. Remove the hub retaining nut.
7. CAUTION: If the wheel bearing inner ring bore circlip is displaced a complete new bearing must be installed.
Using the special tool, remove the hub.
Vehicles With Rear Disc Brakes
8. Detach the parking brake cable.
1. Pull back the parking brake lever.
2. Detach the cable from the parking brake lever.
3. Detach the cable clips.
4. Detach the cable.
9. CAUTION: Secure the caliper and anchor plate assembly out of the way to prevent damage to the flexible brake hose.
Detach the caliper and anchor plate assembly.
10. Remove the brake disc.
^ Remove the retainers (if equipped).
11. Remove the hub dust cap.
12. Remove the hub retaining nut.
13. CAUTION: If the wheel bearing inner ring bore circlip is displaced a complete new bearing must be installed.
Using the special tool, remove the hub.
Installation
Vehicles With Rear Disc Brakes
1. Install the hub.
2. Install the hub dust cap.
3. Install the brake disc.
4. Install the caliper and anchor plate assembly.
5. Install the parking brake cable.
1. Position the cable.
2. Secure the cable.
3. Pull back the parking brake lever.
4. Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
Vehicles With Rear Drum Brakes
6. Install the wheel hub.
7. Install the hub dust cap.
8. Install the brake drum.
All Vehicles
9. Install the wheel.
