Quick Release Coupling

DISCONNECTION

WARNING:
^ DO NOT CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND CAN IGNITE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
^ THE FUEL SYSTEM REMAINS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING.


NOTE: Fuel supply line connectors are white or are identified by a white band. Fuel return line connectors are red or are identified by a red band.

1. De-pressurize the fuel system. For additional information, refer to Fuel Pressure Release. Service and Repair







2. Depress the two retaining clips on the fuel pipe connector.







3. Remove the fuel pipe from the connector.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

NOTE: Fuel supply line connectors are white or are identified by a white band. Fuel return line connectors are red or are identified by a red band.







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Make sure the collar on the fuel pipe is inserted fully into the connector before the clip is locked.
