Headlamp: Adjustments

ALIGNMENT

NOTE: All adjustments should be made with headlamps off and at room temperature.

1. Prepare the vehicle for headlamp adjustment.
^ Place the vehicle on a level surface.
^ Before aligning the headlamps, check them for faulty lenses, reflectors and blackened bulbs, and install new components as necessary.
^ Check the tire pressures and correct as necessary. For additional information, refer to Wheels, Tires, and Alignment.
^ The vehicle must be unloaded with the exception of a tool kit and spare tire. The fuel tank should be half full.
^ Bounce the vehicle several times both front and rear or roll it a few meters so that the suspension settles.







2. Locate the headlight adjustment screws.
1 Vertical adjustment screw.
2 Horizontal adjustment screw.







3. Adjust the horizontal headlamp screw until the Horizontal indicator aligns with the "0" reference mark.

4. Adjust the vertical headlamp screw until the bubble is centered.
