Warning Devices






The warning chime provides the driver with an audible warning for ignition on, seat belt not fastened, key in ignition, driver door open and lights on, or driver door open. The system comprises, a safety belt buckle with integral switch, ignition switch and driver door interior lamp switch. The warning chime is integral to the central timer module.

The system uses a number of inputs to provide the driver with audible warnings.







Central Timer Module (CTM)
The CTM acts as the system monitor for the driver audible warnings. It receives inputs from the switches and triggers the warning chime.







Safety Belt Switch
A warning chime will sound for approximately six seconds when the driver turns the ignition to the ON position. The warning will cease when the safety belt is engaged. The switch is an integral part of the driver safety belt buckle.







Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder
A warning chime will sound continuously when the driver door is opened and the key is in the ignition, on removal of the key the warning will cease. The switch is an integral part of the ignition lock cylinder.







Headlamp Switch
A warning chime will sound continuously when the driver door is open and the vehicle lights are on. This warning is provided whether the key is in, or out of the ignition and will cease when the lights are switched off.







Interior Lamp Switch
The driver door interior lamp switch triggers the system to give a warning for key in ignition and lights on, door open/ajar. The warnings will only occur when the driver door is opened.
