Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL
1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.







2. Disconnect the power steering fluid container and place to one side.

NOTE: Do not drain the power steering system or disconnect any hoses.







3. Disconnect the A/C line and place it above.







4. Remove the orifice tube.
- Guide the tool into the line and hook it into the orifice tube.
- Turn the nut in a clockwise direction and pull the orifice tube out.

NOTE: If necessary, when the orifice tube is damaged.







5. Remove the damaged orifice tube.
- Use remover D80L-19990-B when using D80L-19990-A.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Replace the O-rings and coat them with refrigerant oil.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the A/C system for normal operation.
