Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure.
2. Support the radiator with pins (left-hand side shown).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
4. Remove the radiator splash shield.
NOTE: Seal the lines and the line connections with plugs.
5. Disconnect the upper and lower lines from the air conditioning condenser (lower line shown).
6. Detach the air conditioning condenser from the radiator crossmember.
7. Remove right and left-hand side radiator brackets (left-hand side shown).
CAUTION: Do not damage the radiator fins.
8. Remove the air conditioning condenser.
- Push the radiator as far as possible towards the compressor.
- Disengage the air conditioning condenser from its mountings at the top, push it towards the compressor and remove it.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not damage the radiator fins.
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check A/C system for normal operation.
NOTE: Replace all the O-rings and coat with refrigerant oil.
