Radiator: Service and Repair

Removal
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.





3. Disconnect the fan resistor electrical connector.
4. Lower the vehicle.





5. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors.





6. Disconnect the ground cable.

Vehicles fitted with A/C





7. Disconnect the A/C electrical connector.





8. Disconnect the A/C low pressure switch electrical connector.

All vehicles





9. Disconnect the radiator upper hose.
10. Disconnect the radiator overflow hose.





11. Unclip the cooling fan and fan resistor cables.

Vehicles fitted with automatic transaxle





12. Disconnect the transaxle upper cooling line.

All vehicles
13. Raise and support the vehicle.





14. Disconnect the radiator lower hose.

Vehicle fitted with automatic transaxle





15. Disconnect the transaxle lower cooling line.
16. Unclip the transaxle oil cooler line from the bracket.

Vehicles fitted with A/C





17. Secure the A/C condenser.





18. Remove the A/C condenser bolts.
- Remove the two bolts.

All vehicles
19. Position a jack to support the radiator and cooling fan.
20. Remove the radiator lower support brackets.





21. Remove the radiator and cooling fan.
- Remove the four bolts.
- Remove the radiator.

Installation

















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Refill the cooling system.
