With Manual Transaxle

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: WAIT AT LEAST ONE MINUTE AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES BEFORE REMOVING THE FLOOR CONSOLE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOYING THE AIR BAG(S) AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.







2. Remove the shift handle.







3. Remove the reverse selector.
1 Remove the spring.
2 Remove the spacer.







4. Remove the shift lever boot.







5. Remove the console (rear section) rear screws.







6. Disengage the locating pegs.







7. Remove the console (rear section).
1 Fully raise the parking brake control lever.
2 Remove the console.







8. Remove the four console (front section) retaining screws.







9. Detach the console (front section).
1 Engage 2nd or 4th gear.
2 Lift out the holders.
3 Slide the console to the left-hand side to disengage.
4 Raise the console.







10. Remove the console (front section).
1 Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connectors.
2 Remove the console.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
