Hood Latch: Description and Operation

HOOD MECHANICS

The hood is opened from the front, and is secured by a double catch in the hood lock.

The hood unlocking handle is located on the left of the A - pillar, under the instrument panel.

The hood lock is fixed to the hood lock panel. The safety catch of the hood lock must he unlocked manually after the unlocking handle is actuated.
The hood catch surrounds the hood locking pin, which is fixed to the underside of the hood at the front.
