Oil Cooler: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.





3. Remove the lower radiator splash shield.
1. Remove the push pins.
2. Remove the bolts.
3. Remove the splash shield.





4. Drain the engine oil.





5. Remove the oil filter.





6. Disconnect the oil cooler lines.





7. Remove the oil cooler insert and remove the oil cooler.

Installation

1. Note: Prior to installation, apply engine oil to the oil cooler gasket, oil cooler insert O-ring, and oil filter gasket.








To install, reverse the removal procedure.
