Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the door glass.






2. Detach the door speaker.







3. Remove the door speaker. Disconnect the electrical connector.







4. Detach the watershield.
^ Using a plastic knife (disposable cutlery), cut through the Butyl strip to enable the watershield to be peeled back.

CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive surface as re-bonding will he impaired.

NOTE: It will be necessary to peel back the watershield passed the door speaker housing to gain adequate access.







5. Disconnect the regulator motor electrical connector.







6. Remove the regulator guide.







7. Detach the motor and regulator.
1. Remove the nuts.
2. Drill out the rivets.







8. Remove the motor and regulator.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
