Vehicles With Speed Control

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle plate has a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed.


1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.







2. Remove the intake air resonator.







3. Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle body.







4. Remove the speed control cable from the bracket.
1. Detach the cable from the bracket.
2. Push the retaining clip from the bracket and pull the cable out.







5. Remove the accelerator cable retaining clip.







6. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the bracket.







7. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.







8. Disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical connector.







9. Remove the throttle body assembly. Discard the throttle body gasket.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle plate has a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed.

NOTE: Install a new throttle body gasket.












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
