Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the relaining clips.
4. Loosen the evaporative emission canister carrier rear bolts.
5. Remove the evaporative emission canister carrier front bolt.
6. Partially lower the evaporative emission canister and carrier assembly.
7. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the vapor tube connector from the evaporative emission canister.
9. Remove the evaporative emission canister and carrier assembly.
10. Remove the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid.
1. Disconnect the solenoid from the canister.
2. Remove the solenoid.
11. Remove the evaporative emission canister.
1. Remove the carrier away from the canister.
2. Remove the canister.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
