Non-Module Communication Circuit Wiring Repair
SPECIAL SERVICE TOOLS(S)
1. Remove the insulation from the two wire ends.
2. Slide a piece of heat-shrink sleeving over one of the wire ends.
3. Insert the stripped ends (1) in the crimp connector (2).
4. Make the connection with the crimping tool.
NOTE: When crimping a connector, make sure that the connector is the correct diameter for the wine and that a matching crimping tool is used. After crimping, test the joint by taking one wire in each hand and pulling.
5. Slide the heat-shrink sleeving over the connection and heat it with a hot air blower until the sleeving fits closely around the connection and wax is coming out at both ends.
NOTE: Choose the length of the heat-shrink sleeving so that it extends over the cable insulation by about 15 mm on both sides.
