Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

Removal
All Vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.





3. Remove the radiator splash shield.





4. Disconnect the cooling fan motor and the cooling fan resistor electrical connectors.





5. Detach the diode electrical connector.





6. Detach the wiring harness.





7. Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector.





8. Detach the wiring harness.

Vehicles With Air Conditioning





9. Detach the suction accumulator and secure to one side.

All Vehicles
10. Lower the vehicle.

Vehicles With Air Conditioning





11. Detach the air conditioning tube.

All Vehicles





12. Detach the wiring harness.





13. Remove the fan shroud nut.





14. Remove the fan shroud.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
