Front Seat

Seat Belt Bolt Bit:

Special Service Tool(s)

REMOVAL
1. Move the front seat to the full forward position.







2. Remove the front door scuff plate.







3. Remove the rear door scuff plate.







4. Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to loosen the front safety belt lower anchor bolt.

NOTE: Do not attempt to remove the front safety belt lower anchor bolt from the front safety belt retractor.







5. Remove the center body pillar inside lower finish panel.







6. Remove the front safety belt upper guide.
1 Open the front safety belt upper cover.
2 Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to remove the upper guide bolt.
3 Remove the front safety belt upper guide.







7. Remove the front safety belt lower guide bolts.







8. Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to remove the bolt from the front safety belt retractor remove the front safety belt retractor and tongue as an assembly.






















INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
- Make sure the front safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
- Ensure that the front passenger safety belt retractor is not stuck in the Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) mode after installation.
- Perform the Functional Test to ensure that the new retractor operates properly. Component Tests and General Diagnostics
