Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

REMOVAL






1. Remove the filler neck retaining screws.
^ Position the filler cap and dust cover aside.

WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY AN OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL-RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE INJURY.

2. Raise and support the vehicle.






3. Remove the screws, pin-type retainer and the fuel tank filler pipe shield.







4. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bolt.







5. Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe.
1 Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe.
2 Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe vent hose.
6. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe.

INSTALLATION






















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
