Engine Control Module: Description and Operation

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses data it receives from various sensors, switches and relays to generate output signals to control various relays, solenoids and other components. The Powertrain Control Module will compensate for the age of the various sensors and for changes in altitude.
