REAR SEAT SAFETY BELT RETRACTORS1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Position the rear door scuff plate away from the quarter trim panel. See Figure 19.
3. Remove the rear seat side pad retaining screw. See Figure 19.
4. Fold-down the rear seat back.
5. Remove the rear seat side pad.
6. On third row seat equipped vehicles, remove the third row seat safety belt upper anchor nut. See Figure 20.
7. Position the quarter trim panel as shown in Figure 21.
8. Remove the rear seat safety belt lower anchor bolt. See Figure 21.
9. Remove the rear seat safety belt upper anchor bolt. See Figure 22.
10. Remove the safety belt retractor retaining bolt, then remove the safety belt retractor.
11. Install the new safety belt retractor. Tighten the retaining bolt(s) to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
12. Install the rear seat safety belt upper and lower anchor bolts. Tighten the anchor bolts to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
13. Position the quarter trim panel back in the installed position.
14. On third row seat equipped vehicles, install the third row seat safety belt upper anchor nut. Tighten the anchor nut to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
15. Install the rear seat side pad.
16. Reposition the rear seat back to the upright position.
17. Install the rear seat side pad retaining screw. Tighten the retaining screw securely.
18. Position the rear door scuff plate in the installed position.
19. Repeat Steps 2 through 16 if a second rear seat safety belt retractor replacement is required.
20. Install the rear seat cushion.
