PASSENGER FRONT SAFETY BELT RETRACTOR1. Position both front seats fully forward.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion.
3. Remove the scuff plate.
4. Remove the rear backrest cushion.
5. Remove the front safety belt lower anchor bolt. See Figure 12.
6. Remove the upper speaker cover and slot trim cover. See Figure 12.
7. Remove the quarter trim panel pushpins and remove the panel. See Figure 12.
8. Remove the retainers from the safety belt retractor and remove the safety belt retractor. See Figure 13.
9. Install the new safety belt retractor. Tighten the retractor retainers to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
10. Install the quarter trim panel. Route the front seat safety belt through the trim panel before final installation.
11. Install the upper speaker cover and slot trim cover.
12. Install the front safety belt lower anchor bolt. Tighten the anchor bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
13. Install the rear backrest cushion. Tighten the retaining bolts to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
14. Install the scuff plate.
15. Install the rear seat cushion. Do not install if the rear seat safety belt retractors require replacement.
16. Position both front seats to their original position.
REAR SEAT SAFETY BELT RETRACTORS
1. Remove the rear seat cushion, if necessary.
2. Remove the rear seat safety belt lower anchor bolt(s). See Figure 14.
3. Open the trunk.
4. Remove the front lining board (fabric panel covering underside of decklid).
5. Remove the safety belt retractor retaining bolt(s), then remove the safety belt retractor(s) and web guide(s) as an assembly. See Figure 15.
6. Install the new safety belt retractor(s). Tighten the retaining bolt(s) to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
7. Install the front lining board.
8. Close the trunk.
9. Install the rear seat safety belt lower anchor bolt(s). Tighten the anchor bolt(s) to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
10. Install the rear seat cushion.
