Front Seat - Retractor and Tongue

Seat Belt Bolt Bit:

Special Service Tool(s) Required







REMOVAL
1. Remove front seat shoulder strap guide cover.
2. Insert Safety Belt Bolt Bit (T77L-2100-A) and remove front shoulder strap guide bolt and safety belt anchor bolt.
3. Remove center body pillar inside upper finish panel.
4. Remove front door scuff plate.
5. Remove front safety belt retractor and tongue anchor bolt.
6. Remove safety belt guide from B-pillar.
7. Remove front safety belt retractor and tongue assembly from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order. Be sure to position belts properly.
2. Tighten all retaining bolts to 34-46 Nm (25-33 lb-ft). Cycle system several times to verify proper operation of front safety belt retract6r and tongue. Make sure the belt is not twisted.
3. For front passenger and all rear positions (except auxiliary seat), fully extract the webbing to make sure the automatic locking retractor mode is operational. Verify the retractor automatically switches to emergency locking retractor mode once the webbing is fully retracted.
