Removal and Installation






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove accelerator cable shield retaining screws and shield.
4. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from Throttle Position Sensor (TP Sensor) at connector and remove wiring retainer from throttle body retaining stud bolt.
5. Disconnect accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable from the throttle lever.
6. Remove accelerator cable bracket retainers and accelerator cable bracket. Position cables and accelerator cable bracket out of the way.
7. Remove three throttle body retaining bolts and one stud bolt.
8. Carefully separate throttle body from upper intake manifold.
9. Remove and discard Throttle Body Gasket (TB Gasket) between throttle body and upper intake manifold.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into manifold.

2. Install throttle body, new throttle body gasket and the retaining bolts and stud bolt to the upper intake manifold.
Tighten retaining bolts and stud bolt to 8-12 N.m (71-106 Lb-In).
3. Install accelerator cable bracket. Tighten retainers to 8-12 N.m (71-106 Lb-In).
4. Connect engine control sensor wiring to throttle position sensor at connector and install wiring retainer to the throttle body retaining stud bolt.
5. Connect accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable to the throttle lever.
6. Install accelerator cable shield. Tighten retaining screws to 1.4 N.m (12 Lb-In).
7. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
8. Connect battery ground cable.
