Right Side

Removal
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove upper intake manifold.
3. Remove ignition coil.
4. Remove EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from the RH exhaust manifold.
5. Raise vehicle on hoist.
6. Remove dual converter Y pipe.
7. Remove lower exhaust manifold retaining nuts from RH cylinder head studs.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. Remove upper exhaust manifold retaining nuts from RH cylinder head studs.
10. Remove RH exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold gasket from engine.

Installation

1. NOTE: New exhaust manifold gasket must be used if exhaust manifold is removed.

Follow removal procedure in reverse order.





2. Tighten exhaust manifold retaining nuts to 18-22 Nm (13-16 ft. lbs.) in sequence shown. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nuts to 35-45 Nm (26-33 ft. lbs.)
