Camshaft Journal Oil Clearance

1. Remove all foreign material and oil from the camshaft journals and cylinder head bearing surfaces.
2. Set the camshafts into the cylinder head.
3. Position Plastigage material on top of the journals in the axial direction.
4. Install cylinder head journal caps.
5. Loosen the cylinder head journal cap bolts.
6. Remove cylinder head journal caps.
7. Measure the camshaft oil clearance. The standard camshaft oil clearance should be 0.025-0.066 mm (0.0010-0.0026 inch).
