LEFTHAND & RIGHTHAND FRONT ENGINE SUPPORT INSULATORS

Front And Rear Engine Support Insulators (3.0L 4V Engine):

Front Engine Support Insulators (3.0 4V/3.4L SHO Engine):

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Place jack and wood block in suitable place under engine block.
3. Remove nuts retaining LH front engine support insulator and RH front support insulator to the front subframe.
4. Raise engine with jack (enough to unload LH front and RH front engine support insulators).
5. Remove two retaining bolts from LH front engine support insulator and remove LH front engine support insulator from A/C compressor mounting bracket (3.0L) or front engine support insulator (3.4L).
6. Remove through bolt from RH front engine support insulator and remove RH front engine support insulator from front engine support mounting bracket.

Installation

1. Attach LH front engine support insulator to A/C compressor mounting bracket (3.0L) or front engine support insulator (3.4L) with two bolts. Tighten bolts to 60-80 NM (44-59 lb-ft).
2. Attach RH front engine support insulator to transaxle case rear bracket with one through bolt. Tighten through bolt to 53-72 NM (39-53 lb-ft).
3. Lower engine down on front sub-frame.
4. Note: Because the anti-rotation hole of the front sub-frame is oversized, prevent the front engine support bracket from rotating when tightening to avoid NVH problems.

Install nuts retaining LH front engine support insulator and RH front engine support insulator to front sub-frame. Tighten nuts to 77-103 Nm (57-75 lb-ft).
4. Remove jack and lower vehicle.
