Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation

The brake load sensor proportioning valve on the sedan model is mounted to the rear floor pan near the left rear wheel. The brake load sensor proportioning valve operates as follows.
^ A mechanical linkage to the rear suspension arm and bushing is used to vary valve split-point based on the rear weight of the vehicle.
^ The pressure level is limited at the rear brakes to minimize rear wheel lockup during hard braking.
