Brake Fluid Reservoir
Removal1. Disconnect fluid level indicator switch.
2. Remove cap from brake master cylinder reservoir.
3. Remove brake fluid from brake master cylinder reservoir.
4. Remove primary brake master cylinder reservoir port from brake master cylinder by prying upward with rod or long screwdriver.
5. Remove secondary brake master cylinder reservoir port in same manner and discard complete brake master cylinder reservoir.
6. Remove and discard seals from brake master cylinder.
Installation
1. Wet new seals in clean brake fluid and press into brake master cylinder.
2. Wet inside of seals with clean brake fluid and press brake master cylinder reservoir assembly into seals.
3. Connect fluid level indicator switch.
4. Fill brake master cylinder reservoir with Ford High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB or equivalent DOT 3 fluid meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A to within 4.0 mm (0.16 inch) of MAX line. If DOT 3 is not available use DOT 4 Brake Fluid meeting Ford specification SAE-J-1704-DOT 4.
