Rear Disc

The rear disc brakes consist of the following features:
^ a 252 mm (9.90 inch) solid full cast rear disc brake rotor
^ hydraulically activated, pin slider-type rear disc brake caliper assemblies with integral mechanically (cable) operated parking brake mechanisms
^ a cable operated lever on the back of the rear disc brake caliper to activate the parking brake feature
^ a self-adjusting parking brake mechanism in the rear disc brake caliper

Except for the parking brake mechanism, the rear disc brake caliper assembly is similar to the front disc brake caliper. The added parking brake lever on the back of the rear disc brake caliper is cable-operated by the parking brake control, located below the instrument panel, similar to rear drum brake installations. The caliper parking brake mechanism is self-adjusting.
