1. Visually check disc brake caliper. If front disc brake caliper housing is leaking, disc brake caliper should be replaced. If a seal is leaking, disc brake caliper must be disassembled and new seals and dust boot installed. If a caliper piston is seized in the bore, the disc brake caliper must be replaced.2. Clean all metal parts with isopropyl alcohol. Then, clean out and dry grooves and passageways with compressed air. Make sure caliper bore and component parts are thoroughly clean.
3. Check caliper bore and piston for damage or excessive wear. Replace disc brake caliper if piston or bore is pitted, scored, corroded or the plating is worn off.
