Sliding Roof Panel

REMOVAL
1. Open roof sliding outer glass panel and roof sliding panel headlining fully.
2. Disconnect roof air deflector support by pulling up on rear of roof air deflector support to disengage from track retainer and rotating roof air deflector support to remove from roof air deflector.
3. Remove eight screws retaining roof sliding panel rails.
4. Connect roof air deflector support by engaging rear of roof air deflector support to track retainer.
5. Close roof sliding outer glass panel.
6. Remove access panel located at rear of roof trim panel by hand. Disconnect sliding roof panel motor electrical connections.







7. Remove sliding roof panel motor.







8. Remove two screws retaining roof sliding panel rail to roof panel.
9. Protect painted surfaces. Make sure roof sliding panel opening shield trough clears roof edge. Lift and slide roof sliding panel rail and roof glass panel out of vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Slide roof sliding panel rail and roof glass panel into vehicle, taking care not to damage roof finish.
2. Install two screws retaining roof sliding panel rail to roof panel. Tighten to 4-6 Nm (36-53 lb-in).
3. Check sliding roof panel motor for synchronization.
4. Install sliding roof panel motor and retaining screws. Tighten to 4-6 Nm (36-53 lb-in). Connect electrical connectors.
5. Make sure lifter arm and guidance ramp are aligned.
6. Open roof sliding outer glass panel and roof sliding panel headlining fully.
7. Install and tighten roof sliding panel rail screws to 4-6 Nm (36-53 lb-in).
8. Adjust roof sliding outer glass panel.
9. Install four pivot bracket retaining screws after roof sliding outer glass panel is adjusted.







10. Install access cover.
