Liftgate Latch Striker

The liftgate latch is not adjustable. Only the liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker can be adjusted up-and-down and side-to-side.

Before adjusting the liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker, open and close the liftgate to double-check the liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker alignment.

NOTE: Do not try to correct a poor liftgate alignment with a liftgate latch striker adjustment.

Loosen liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker with correct bit from Torx (R) Drive Bit Set 501-DS0O1 (D79P-2100-T) or equivalent. Move liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker fore-or-aft, or from side-to-side as necessary. Tighten liftgate/luggage compartment latch striker to 9-14 Nm (80-123 lb-in).
