Liftgate Hinge

REMOVAL
1. Open liftgate assembly.







2. Remove liftgate header rail inside moulding along top of liftgate opening.
3. Remove liftgate.







4. Remove liftgate hinge-to-liftgate retaining screws, and remove liftgate hinge from liftgate.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Seal the hinge to body with Silicone Rubber D6AZ-19562-AA (clear) or equivalent meeting Ford specifications ESB-M4G92-A and ESE-M4G195-A.
3. Tighten the hinge-to-roof frame through-bolt and nut to 8-10 Nm (71-88 Lb-In).
4. Tighten the remaining screw and nut to 25-35 Nm (19-25 lb-ft).
5. Tighten the hinge-to-liftgate screws to 8-10 Nm (71-88 lb-in).
