Tape Player: Description and Operation

- The cassette tape player features a two-motor full logic design. All cassette tape player functions are controlled at the integrated control panel.
- Cassette tape player audio outputs (left and right) will convert into two differential signals for output to rear chassis unit.

Tape Error Messages
The full-logic cassette tape player is designed to diagnose certain inoperative cassette tape player conditions. The error codes are as follows:
- Protection Mode 1: When the end of tape has been sensed three times within 10 seconds, the mechanism will eject the cassette cartridge instead of reversing for the third time. Display will flash ER1 five times and revert to radio mode. This feature prevents loose tape from spilling into the mechanism.
- Protection Mode 2: If tape ejection is requested but the mechanism fails to eject the tape within 10 seconds, the cassette tape player will go into parked mode. Display will flash ER2 five times and revert to radio mode.
