Passive Anti-Theft System Control Module
REMOVAL1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove integrated control panel.
3. Remove screw retaining Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) control module to instrument panel.
4. Disconnect electrical connector and remove PATS control module.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: The PATS module must be reconfigured after replacement. Two encoded keys must be cycled in ignition first and then Pinpoint Test B1239 must be followed to initialize module.
1. Install PATS control module. Tighten retaining screws to 3.4-4.8 N.m (30-42 Lb-In).
2. Install an encoded ignition key (with correct vehicle mechanical key cut) into ignition switch and turn to RUN position to program the first key into control module. Repeat for 2nd encoded ignition key.
