Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Remove the upper intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
^ Remove the wiring harness retainer from the Throttle Body (TB) stud.
3. Disconnect the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) electrical connector.
4. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
5. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connectors.
6. Disconnect the fuel charging harness main in-line electrical connectors.
7. Disconnect the following electrical connectors
1 Ignition coil.
2 Radio capacitor.
8. Disconnect the following electrical connectors.
1 The Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch.
2 The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
3 The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
9. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
10. Disconnect the six electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.
11. Remove the eight wire harness retainers and remove the fuel charging wiring harness.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When installing the six fuel injector connectors, begin at the front of the engine, and install sequentially working toward the rear.
