Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.







3. Disconnect the canister vent solenoid valve from the retaining clips.







4. Loosen the evaporative emission canister bracket rear retaining bolts.







5. Remove the evaporative emission canister bracket front retaining bolt.







6. Partially lower the evaporative emission canister and bracket assembly.







7. Disconnect the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid electrical connector.







8. Disconnect the vapor tube connector from the evaporative emission canister.
9. Remove the evaporative emission canister and bracket assembly.







10. Remove the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid.
1 Disconnect the solenoid from the canister.
2 Remove the solenoid.






11. Remove the evaporative emission carbon canister.
1 Pry the bracket away from the canister.
2 Remove the canister.

INSTALLATION












1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
