Steps 43 - 83
43. Install the transaxle lower cooling tube.
44. Install the radiator lower hose to the radiator.
45. Install the radiator splash shield.
- Install the coolant drain plug.
46. Install the engine lower cover (if removed).
47. Lower the vehicle.
48. Install the transaxle upper coolant tube.
49. Connect the main engine harness electrical connector.

2 Bolt
50. Connect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the ground cable.
51. Using 4 mm rivets and a riveter, install the PCM cover plate.
CAUTION: Do not drop hydraulic oil onto the drive belt.
52. Connect the power steering lines.

2 Return line
3 Power Steering Pressure (PSP) switch
53. Install the power steering fluid) reservoir.
54. Connect the heater control vacuum hoses.
55. Install the fan to the radiator.
- Install the fan wiring harness.
56. Install the fan to the radiator (continued).
57. Install the fan ground cable to the body.
58. Connect the two fan motor electrical connectors.
- Install the connectors and the wiring harness.
Vehicles With Air Conditioning
59. Connect the suction accumulator electrical connector.
60. Tighten the right-hand suspension strut nut.
61. Tighten the right-hand suspension strut nut (continued).
62. Connect the following electrical connectors (transaxle shown removed).
1 Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor
2 Transmission control
3 Temperature gauge sender unit
4 Transmission Range (TR) sensor
- Install the harness.
63. Connect the fuel pipes and install the clips.
64. Connect the starter motor positive cable.
- Push the positive cable into the housing and close it.
65. Install the starter motor wiring.
66. Install the selector cable.
1 Install the selector cable to the selector lever.
2 Install the bracket.
67. Install the coolant hose.
68. Install the coolant hoses.
- To cylinder block.
- To heater.
- Connect the heater coolant hose.
- To thermostat housing.
69. Install the radiator upper hose to the radiator.
70. Install the coolant expansion tank.
- Connect the coolant level indicator electrical connector.
71. Install the coolant expansion tank hoses.
72. Install the cable bracket.
73. Connect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) hose.
74. Install the speed control cable.
75. Install and adjust the accelerator cable.
1 Insert the cable into the bracket and install the plastic clamp.
2 Install the cable.
3 Install the spring.
4 Check if the throttle is fully opened by depressing the accelerator pedal. Adjust if necessary.
5 Adjust: Pull out the clamp, depress the accelerator cable pedal fully. Install the clamp.
76. Install the Air Cleaner (ACL).
77. Automatic transmission fluid-fill the transaxle with fluid.
78. Install the water pump pulley cover.
- Install the coolant hose.
79. Fill and bleed the power steering system.
80. Fill the engine cooling system.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
81. Install the battery.
82. Check the routing of the vacuum hoses and wiring and secure them with cable ties.
83. Check the fluid level after the road test and correct as necessary.
