Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.





3. Remove the steel coolant pipe connecting the bottom hose to the water pump hose.
1 Disconnect the hoses.
2 Remove the pipe.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.





5. Disconnect the fan resistor electrical connector.





6. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connectors.





7. Remove the wiring harness from the fan shroud.





8. Remove the motor, fan and shroud assembly.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the assembly.

Installation








1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
