Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Remove the luggage compartment trim panel.
1. Remove the screws.
2. Remove the clips and lift out the trim.







2. Using a suitable marker pen mark the position of the luggage compartment latch.







3. Remove the latch retaining bolts.







4. Disconnect the luggage compartment lamp switch electrical connector.







5. Remove the latch.
1. Disconnect the latch cables.
2. Disconnect the release solenoid operating rod.
3. Remove the latch.







6. Unclip and remove the luggage compartment lamp switch.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
